We recommend scheduling an appointment and speaking with your hygienist to find the best treatment for you at your dental cleaning.

Choosing The Best Teeth Whitening Services

At Higginbotham Family Dental, our team will help find the best whitening method for you. Our whole range of whitening services can be accessed at any HFD office. You can read about each whitening treatment below.

Boost In-Office Treatment

Opalescence Boost is proven to create a beautiful, long-lasting smile after a quick 1-hour trip to the dentist! This treatment consists of a hygienist placing a protective barrier over your gums, and then a thin layer of whitening gel will be placed on the surface of your teeth. It usually consists of 2-3 20-minute sessions per visit. Boost does not require any lights or lasers to activate the gel, but solely relies on chemical activation. This treatment can usually whiten your smile in about 1 hour!

Zoom! In-Office Treatment

Why do our patients love Zoom! Whitening? Because it gets your teeth up to 8 shades whiter almost instantly! It’s our speediest service, consisting of hydrogen peroxide gel and a UV light to activate the gel. Zoom! Teeth whitening is performed over 4 sessions and can take 1.5 – 2 hours of chair-time.

Opalescence Go

Want a powerful and effective whitening system without the visit to the dentist? The Opalescence Go whitening trays are prefilled, disposable trays that contain a powerful whitening gel. Simply insert the comfortable trays in your mouth and wear for 15-60 minutes per day for anywhere from five to ten days. This whitening treatment has been proven successful at providing dramatic, long-lasting results.

At-Home Whitening Trays

Want to gradually whiten your smile after your appointment? Then consider our at-home whitening trays! If you’re interested in our take-home trays, simply let your dental hygienist know at your cleaning appointment. They’ll give you more information about how it works and, if you’re still interested, they’ll take compressions and get a mold of your teeth to create custom trays. To perform at-home whitening, we’ll supply you with the trays and the whitening gel. If you keep your 6-month cleaning appointments, the trays and gel are absolutely FREE! Find out more about at-home teeth whitening services near you by contacting our offices.

How Much Does it Cost?

Teeth whitening treatments are cosmetic procedures, so most dental insurance providers do not cover the costs.

Our in-office teeth whitening treatments, including Zoom!, start at $99+. To find out the cost of services near you, give our office a call. And, like we stated above, our take-home whitening trays are free!

What to Know About Treatment:

Before you schedule an appointment for teeth whitening, here are some caveats you should know about.

  1. It is not permanent. You will need to maintain your treatment by using whitening trays or the whitening pen periodically that we offer.
  2. To get the most from your treatment, try to avoid drinking anything that can stain your teeth.
  3. Teeth whitening should not be used during pregnancy or on lactating mothers.
  4. Your teeth must be decay-free to handle teeth whitening treatment.
  5. Crowns, Veneers, and other restorations cannot be whitened.
