Dentures and Partials

Looking for a Solution for Missing Teeth?

Dentures and Partials are a great tooth replacement option for any patient who is missing all or many of their teeth. Do missing teeth stop you from smiling? A full denture is used when a patient is missing all of their teeth. Whereas, a partial is used when a patient still has some of their natural teeth. Implant Dentures are also an option for missing teeth. This type of denture attaches to metal posts that are screwed into your jaw bone. Any of these options could help you regain confidence, oral function, and most importantly, your smile. Our dentists design dentures that closely imitate your natural teeth. At Higginbotham Family Dental, you’ll regain a restored smile you can place full confidence in.

Partial Dentures

Partial dentures or “Partials” are great for patients missing a few teeth. Instead of pulling the remaining teeth and replacing them all, the dentist will instead create a prosthetic with the replacement teeth for those missing. You can then easily insert and remove this into your mouth.

Full Dentures

The most traditional, these removable dentures replace all the teeth in your mouth, giving you a complete, stunning smile. For these to be effective, your dentist will pull all remaining teeth.  Your dentist can create lower or upper arches, or both, dependent upon your needs.

Implant Dentures

Unlike dentures and partials, implant dentures operate as replacement teeth. The implant denture screws directly into your jawbone, functioning as real teeth. These replacements are not removable, and they allow an open palate in the denture.

We Make Procedures Affordable for our Patients

The purpose of a denture is not only to replace your missing teeth, but to regain your confidence and self-esteem. Regaining your smile should be a stress-free experience, and cost should never get in the way. With that being said, we offer a range of affordable options such as our in-house dental payment plans, and a discount dental plan membership if you are without insurance. If you prefer third-party financing, we do accept Care Credit

The Benefits

  • Dentures are designed to give you the same form and function as your natural teeth. Although it may take time to get used to your denture, you will eventually be able to enjoy all your favorite foods again. However, you should avoid hard or sticky foods.
  • Dentures will support your facial muscles. For example, when you lose your teeth, your jaw begins to sink in. Dentures will help this issue by filling out your face.
  • You will gain back your self-confidence. Get ready to smile and laugh again without worrying about showing your missing teeth!
  • The support from dentures will improve your speech and help you speak more clearly.

Am I a Candidate?

Although patients who are seeking dentures are usually older adults, there are situations where a younger adult may need their teeth replaced with dentures. For example, if a younger adult loses most of their teeth in an accident, our dentist may suggest a denture as an option.
