Invisalign Treatment

What is Invisalign?

Invisalign treatment is an orthodontics option that consists of a series of clear aligners that straighten your teeth. Each of our locations uses an iTero scanner that creates a 3-D image of your teeth. This enables our dentists to show you your dream smile before you even begin treatment through a virtual scan. You may be a great candidate for Invisalign treatment if you are looking to correct the following:

  • Crowded Teeth
  • Underbite
  • Overbite
  • Gap Teeth

How Does it Work?

Invisalign is a series of clear aligners that fit onto your teeth and gently shift them into place. You typically wear each tray for 2 weeks at a time. Each set of trays will get you closer to a straighter smile, and your dentist will monitor your progress along the way. The great thing about this orthodontic treatment is that you can remove them while you eat, and to brush your teeth. You will just need to wear your Invisalign trays 20-22 hours per day in order to complete your desired results.

Is Treatment Near Me?

We offer Invisalign treatment at all locations in Arkansas, Tennessee, and Missouri! To see a list of our other locations, visit our dental office locations page.

How is Invisalign Made?

Invisalign is made with the highest quality of materials. With the help of the latest technology, the iTero machine creates a 3-D image of your teeth within seconds. The iTero machine allows each patient to see their new smile virtually before beginning treatment. We will send your scans off to the lab, and once they have your clear aligners completed and sent to our office, we will contact you to get you started!

Can Treatment Fix Crowding, Gaps, Cross bite, or an Overbite?

The answer is yes. It’s proven effective in shifting crooked, gapped, and misaligned teeth. Invisalign uses the highest quality materials that are durable and effective in correcting your smile. Our doctors will create a unique Invisalign treatment plan just for you to give you the perfect smile. However, if your case is more complex, our dentist may suggest a different treatment to straighten your teeth.

What does Dental Insurance Cover?

There are many dental insurance policies that do cover Invisalign treatment. If your insurance has orthodontic coverage, it will most likely cover a certain percentage of your treatment. You can check with your insurance company, or your benefits manager, or look at your benefits package under the “orthodontics” section.  To see what insurance policies we are in-network with, visit our insurance page. If you are visiting our dental office without dental insurance, and are interested in Invisalign, we have payment plan options for you! We believe every patient deserves to have the smile of their dreams, so that is why we have payment plan options to make orthodontic treatment more affordable. Read more about our payment plans and our Discount Dental Plan to learn more information on these services. We also accept third-party financing such as Care Credit

What is the Cost?

The price of Invisalign depends on the complexity of your treatment. Most Invisalign treatments cost $3,000- $5,000. However, each case varies. Each  Invisalign case is unique to the patient. Once we conclude your consultation and scan your teeth with our iTero machine, the dentist will then create your treatment plan. After that, a financial coordinator will be able to go over an estimate with you. From there, they can determine your monthly payments to make Invisalign more affordable. We believe in finding the best payment options for you to get you that perfect smile!

How Often are Treatment Appointments?

How often your Invisalign appointments depend on your treatment. Your dentist will determine how often you will need to visit, depending on your individual needs. The frequency of your visits can range anywhere from 4-8 weeks. At each appointment, the dentist will examine your progress to ensure you are still on track to your dream smile. You will also receive new sets of clear aligners that will straighten your smile at these appointments.

Is it Cheaper than Traditional Metal Braces?

The prices for Invisalign and braces are similar. Every smile has its own uniqueness, therefore the cost of Invisalign treatment varies case by case. The cost of Invisalign can depend on several factors such as insurance coverage, what you’re needing to be corrected, the number of clear aligners that are needed, and the complexity of your case.

Which is Better? Clear Aligners or Traditional Metal Braces?

As we stated above, every smile is unique. Therefore, we require each patient to begin with a free dental cosmetic consultation to discuss their smile goals. From there, we may require x-rays to be taken to diagnose a treatment plan, and then your dentist will perform an oral exam to determine what would be best for your smile. The major benefits of Invisalign to straighten your teeth are that they are removable, you’ll have no food restrictions, it’s comfortable, and are virtually invisible.

Are Clear Aligners Painful?

No, Invisalign is not painful. Although, after your first set of trays or when you change out your trays, you may experience discomfort or soreness. The discomfort should not last long. We recommend using over-the-counter medication such as acetaminophen (Tylenol) as directed if you are not allergic. Switching out your trays at night can also reduce discomfort during the daytime. If you experience sharp edges on your aligners, those can be smoothed in our office within minutes.
